On Monday, March 1, the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors meets at a 2 p. m. for a public hearing at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street. There will be no 7 p.m., meeting. The agenda include: Cate Magennis Wyatt, Journey Through Hallowed Ground; endorsement of Civil War Sesquicentennial Living Legacy Project; Arts, Cultural, Tourism Zones, Tax Increment Financing; status of bills affecting the county and Governor’s budget proposals; maximum speed of 35 mph on unpaved roads; requirement for Open Space Classification when three other classifications of use value are adopted; Tourism Advisory Group appointments; Board budgetary policy issues; February Snow Emergency Management report; need for a Fire & Rescue needs assessment; appropriation of donations to “Shop With a Deputy” program; National County Health Rankings and “Making Connections” (National Parks Conservation Association).
The Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its monthly Board of Directors meeting Tuesday, March 2 at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, Washington.
On Thursday, March 4, the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.
