Virginia Tech named the following students to the dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester: Kyle D. Dingus, Amissville, a sophomore majoring in forestry; Joshua M. Galvin, Amissville, a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering; Jaclyn E. Dixon of Castleton, a freshman majoring in university studies, and Kevin J. Riedel, Washingon, a senior majoring in forestry.
Virginia Tech’s dean’s list honors students taking at least 12 credit hours who earn at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.
James Marquisee, a senior, of Washington, was among the 681 students named to the University of Mary Washington’s dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2009-10 academic year. The UMW dean’s list recognizes outstanding academic achievement by full-time students who attain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 out of a possible 4.0.
Jacob Matthew Dodson of Flint Hill has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Radford University. Dodson is a junior criminal justice major. To be named to the list, a student must have taken 15 or more credit hours and have a grade point average of 3.4 or above with no grade below a C.
