Out of the Attic

“Hey, I caught it! I don’t know what it is, but I caught it!” So read the caption under this photo in the 1972 “Rappsody,” the Rappahannock High School yearbook. The yearbook was lent to us by the organizers of the “Across the Years” multi-year reunion at the Link in Sperryville on Saturday, April 24 at 7 p.m. for RCHS students and staff from the 1960s through the 2000s. If you’re planning to attend, RSVP and purchase tickets ($30) by April 17 online at rappalumni.org or by sending a check to Rappahannock Alumni Association, c/o Karen Sanborn, 15 Apple Blossom Lane, Sperryville, VA 22740. And if you do attend, please let us know what was in the bag.

  1. As a photographer for the 1972 Rappsody I immediately recognized it. The picture is of Betty Rutherford and for the life of me I can not remember what was in the bag.
