On Monday (May 3), the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will hold a 2 p. m. session and a 7 p.m. public hearing. Both meetings will be at the Rappahannock County Courthouse on Gay Street. Highlights on the agenda include: school budget FY11 adoption; RSW regional jail; jail office expansion; continuation of county budget public hearing; Hazel Scenic River designation; Gary Settle’s term on the planning commission that is expiring June 6; April building permit report; VDOT report; North Central Virginia legislative report; F.T. Valley & Flint Hill Rural Historic Districts hearing on May 10. Closed Session (as needed) for a discussion with counsel of potential litigation; six- year secondary road plan and FY 2010-11 budget; Williams contractor’s office/shop/yard.
On Wednesday (May 5) at 7 p.m., at Town Hall the Town of Washington will be holding an information session for property owners and residents regarding the use of their grinder pumps and what type of items are acceptable to be put into the sewer system. Repairs resulting from damages to the pump station due to improper use will be billed to the property owner so all owners should plan on attending. Anyone with questions should call Town Hall.
On Thursday (May 6) the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.
