There being no business to come before them, and after consultation with the Chair, the regular May meeting of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission has been canceled.
On Thursday, May 6 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.
Monday, May 10, the Town of Washington’s Town Council will hold its regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting at Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. Highlights from the agenda include: a public hearing on the FY2010-2011 budget; updates on the wastewater project, consideration of rules and regulations pertaining to the use of grinder pumps and sewer system by town residents, including materials and substances which should not be deposited into the sewer system. Also to be considered is an update on the wastewater treatment plant operations RFP and bid award, and a VDOT property and spring planting updates, and consideration of the Gay Street Inn request to have their sewer charges reflect a reduction due to a significant amount of metered water usage not entering into the sewer system. Also under consideration is a change in date of the June council meeting to June 21, and a ribbon cutting ceremony for the wastewater treatment plant on June 4.
On Tuesday, May 11 the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m. closed session and at 7:30 p.m. public session at RCHS band room.
