Postponed . . .

This 1993 Ford Explorer caught fire on the way up the fire road at the end of Keyser Run Road leading to the Baldwin family cemetery in Shenandoah National Park where the family meets twice yearly to tidy up the historic grounds and have a picnic. Washington Fire Chief Ann Spieker says no one was injured, except for a few minor scrapes suffered by 87-year-old Edna Bolen Painter of Luray, who had to be carried out of the car by the other passengers. Both Washington and Sperryville squads responded; by the time the Washington engine company could get up the fire road, the car was a total loss. Family spokesman Wayne Baldwin said the event was postponed until fall.
