Wakefield opening summer camps

Wakefield Country Day School in Flint Hill is offering a number of summer academic camps. Each camper will need to complete an application form and a medical form to enroll. Forms are available from Kathi Magaro at the school by calling 540-635-8555 (extension 232). Each participant should bring a lunch, snack and drink each day to camp.

Latin Camp

Latin IA or IB: 9 a.m.-noon, June 7-25; $350 fee; for prep school students; camp counselor John McMahon. Campers can strengthen what they know or receive a half year’s credit.

Latin II: 9 a.m.-noon, June 7-July 2; fee $450; full year’s credit available.

Latin IA and IB: 9 a.m.-noon, June 7-July 9 (no class on Monday, July 5); $500; full year’s credit available.

Math Camp

Various levels of math offered. Strengthen your foundation or receive a full year’s credit. Contact Rachel Bechtold (540-635-8555, x222) to discuss prior to completing registration.

Dates: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 7-July 2; $550 fee; counselor Alex Popkin.

Equestrian Camp

Dates: 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. June 21-26; for ages 4 and up; Meadowbrook Farm Equestrian Center; $205 fee; camp includes mounted lesson, grooming, tacking and untacking, games and activities, barn chores and a farm tour.
