Boston: Massanova Academy completes school year

Massanova Christian Academy in Castleton held a graduation banquet on Friday evening (June 4) with graduation exercises the next day.

Congratulations go out to Cadet James Henshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Henshaw; who graduated from the U. S. Military Academy and has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army. He will attend field artillery courses at Fort Sill, Okla.

Stacey Short graduated in May from Bridgewater College. She majored in art.

Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Robinson and Joseph Peregory spent a weekend with the Robinson family in DeLand, Fla. They attended memorial services for Mrs. Frazier’s grandson, Mark Robinson who died at age 29 on May 27. Our sympathy goes to the family.

Graduates of the class of 1970 from Culpeper High School are reminded that a reunion is planned for Aug. 7 at the Best Western in Culpeper. For more information call 540-825-3825 or 540-825-2000.

Congratulations to the Castleton Fire and Rescue Department for having won second place for the Best Appearing Ambulance in the firemen’s parade in Culpeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Weakley are mighty proud of their daughter’s achievements. Amanda Lynn has received two degrees: bachelor of science in poultry and bachelor of science in dairy at graduation excises from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg in May.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier hosted a cookout Sunday at their home on Turkey Ridge Road; having as guests; Mr. and Mrs. Stan Williams of Tappahannock; Miss Brenda Frazier; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Frazier of Culpeper; Miss Linda Weakley of Standardsville; Mrs. Marie Atkins, Sperryville; Mr. and Mrs. Chriss Frazier and Venessa-Lyn and two little friends of Castleton.
