Letter: Many thanks

As many fellow Rappahannock residents know, Bill Baker of Sperryville worked many long, cold, hot, rainy and dry hours at Flatwood Recycling Center in Washington for 10 years. Many may know him for his devotion to the upkeep of the recycle center and for the extra hand he gave unloading many vehicles of trash and his welcome conversation. After long consideration, Mr. Baker decided to resign from Flatwood as of Aug. 1.

He would like to extend his gratitude to those who made his long days shorter with a “Hello” or “Thanks so much for the help, Bill!” He would also like to thank all of those who thought of him at holidays with many tasty treats. He feels blessed to have had the opportunity to enjoy the job that he took much pride in and for the many wonderful friends who thought of him often.

Mrs. Bill Baker
Sperryville
