Letter: Rappahannock businesses well-Linked

As members of the board of directors of the Link, we would like to express our gratitude to the community for its support of the first of many Rappahannock Business Link events.

The success of the networking social held Nov. 16 was overwhelming, to say the least. Attended by more than 50 business leaders from Rappahannock, the event offered the opportunity to meet others in the business community and exchange business cards and brochures, all the while enjoying a variety of food and beverages. There were contractors, bakers, soap makers, techies, farmers, Realtors, bankers, furniture makers, marketers, artists and more, from every corner of Rappahannock . . . in spite of the rainy weather!

Many thanks to our generous sponsors for this first event: Air Concepts (Rusty Royston), Better Homes and Gardens-Real Estate III (Jan Makela), Critical Stages LLC (Bill Pragluski), Heritage Springs Orchard (Steve and Victoria Miller), JD Roy Excavating (Brad Barnes), Kreyling Construction (Peter Kreyling), Lavonne Adkins Public Accountant, Rappahannock News (Walter Nicklin), Rose Hill Veterinary Clinic (Tom Massie), Sperryville Corner Store (Andy Thompson), Thornton River Grille Catering (Terri Lehman), and Union First Market Bank (Jason Brady).

It was through the generosity of these sponsors that The Link was able to host this event. Please consider being a sponsor for one of our future events. If you are willing to assist in any way, please email one of us today.

The Rappahannock Business Link will meet quarterly at the Link in Sperryville, the next event to be held in February 2011. If you have a business in Rappahannock and care about the success of our business community, please plan to attend.
