RAWL Dogs: Sharpie

Sharpie

Sometimes I think I can hear you. Your soft tread across the living room carpet. The way you shuffle in the kitchen just after dawn. Sometimes I imagine the sense and feel of you, even though we have yet to meet. We can belong to each other, you know. We can. I hear your gentle greeting and even imagine your touch on my head and behind the ears.

I am called Sharpie, a mix of Chow and Sharpei, only a year old. The breeds are thought of as aloof, but I already know you, and often can sense your very life blood.

This past week two of my canine colleagues were joined with new owners.
