Realtors raise $1.6K to support Hospice

From contributed reports
Each year the individual members of the Greater Piedmont Area Association of Realtors raise money for a worthy local charity. For the second consecutive year the Association decided to present the $1,600 in funds raised to Hospice of the Rapidan.

“Our members have long been impressed with the outstanding care Hospice of the Rapidan provides, so we are delighted to acknowledge its contribution to the quality of life in the community we share,” commented Kathleen Lunsford, chair of the Association’s community services committee.

Hospice of the Rapidan’s executive director, Kathy Clements, said: “We are deeply grateful to the members of the Greater Piedmont Area Association of Realtors for their generosity and efforts on behalf of our organization and patients. This gift will help us live up to our longstanding promise to provide the best possible end-of-life care to all who need it in the community regardless of their ability to pay. This kind of support between the business community and non-profit organizations like Hospice of the Rapidan enhances the quality of life for everyone in the area. ”

The Greater Piedmont Area Association of Realtors is a trade association of real estate professionals and affiliate members serving the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock.
