Letter: ‘Amy Hitt will give 110 percent’

My vote is for Amy Hitt, for Jackson district school board member on Nov. 8.  Amy and I have been friends and neighbors for more than 17 years and I have seen firsthand the amount of time and energy that she has given, and continues to give, to the children of not only Rappahannock County but other counties as well.

She has been a great help to me and St. John’s Church for more than 10 years with our annual Oktoberfest and other events.  She is willing to undertake any project and gives her time freely to those in need.  Amy is a huge supporter of the Rappahannock County Public Schools and has  volunteered and substituted in both the elementary and high school for the past 15 years.

She is always willing to help a child in need, whether with field trips or being a taxi driver so students could participate in after-school programs.  Amy is dedicated to making sure those who want to learn and succeed get that chance.  She will continue to give 110 percent of herself to make sure RCPS is where children will want to come and enjoy the value of learning.  She continues to give of herself and asks nothing in return except your vote on Nov. 8.  I recommend you make Amy Hitt the Jackson district’s new school board member.
