Letter: Elect ‘hard worker, go-getter’ Amy Hitt

I am writing in support of Amy Hitt for Jackson district school board member. I have known Amy for 15 years she is a hard worker and a go-getter. She has always had the best interest of the children of Rappahannock County first and foremost. I first met her when she was very involved in Amissville Baptist Church. She was a mission teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, head of the bereavement committee and in charge of the toddler and nursery rooms.

She has been an active member of Rappahannock Athletic Association for 10 years. She was instrumental in building Stuart Field into a top-notch baseball facility. She is the secretary of the Amissville Community Christmas Fund and has been involved with that group for 15 years. She has been the chief of elections for Jackson district for 12 years. She is the office manager/bookkeeper of a very busy law firm in Warrenton. She is 100 percent for the kids and the teachers at both the schools. She will give her all to make sure that the students at RCPS get the quality education that they deserve, as well as make the tough decisions that need to be made. She is the woman for the job.

Her spunkiness and go get ’em attitude is what RCPS needs. She will be a breath of fresh air and will bring pride back to the school system.
