Letter: Jackson House treated Dad like their own

My dad, John William “Billy” Jenkins, passed away after spending more than six years as a resident at Jackson House Assisted Living in Boston, Va. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Charity and Violet Sillero and their kind, compassionate staff.

You do not know how wonderful it is to have peace of mind and know that your loved one is being taken care of in a safe, loving home environment. He was treated as if he were their own father or grandfather. On several occasions he would tell us in his fragmented words, “They do a good job, they take good care of me.” They are truly an asset to Rappahannock County and the community.

Also thanks goes out to the Rappahannock Senior Center for their visits and gifts, and a very special thanks to Hope Hill Baptist Church for Christmas caroling and gifts for all the residents. You all made my Dad’s last years more enjoyable. Thank you!
