Poem: In Old Rappahannock

He who knows not his family history

is forever a mystery –

Let me be plain – and say it again

Blah blah blah – you’d rather not hear it at all

To not hear it at all – is not to stand tall – ready for a fall

One more time

He who knows his family history is forever cordial

Sorry – this is only a tease – there are no fees –

Just follow the trail up Jenkins Hollow –

I shall follow – quietly . . .
