Letter: Attention, Rappahannock youth!

The next Rappahannock Youth Group event will take place from 3 to 6 this Sunday afternoon (May 20) at Meadowbrook Farm, the home of Greg and Julie Vaught at 18 Meadowbrook Lane, about two miles north of Flint Hill.

The afternoon of fun includes a devotional, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, basketball, and picnicking. If you plan on attending and need fishing gear, please let us know. Fishing worms will be supplied and some bamboo poles will be available. The fishing will be catch-and-release.

We will have 10 canoes and two kayaks at our disposal so everyone who wants to challenge friends, the opportunity will be there. We are in need of some life jackets. If you have a life jacket, let us know. There is a basketball court available. We will supply the basketballs.

Last but not least, there’s the cookout, where everyone can roast their own hot dogs and S’Mores over the fire pit! Come join in an afternoon of fellowship and camaraderie! For additional information and to preregister, contact Dee Vest at 540-675-1089 or deidrev190@comcast.net.
