Letter: Another ‘Fantastic’ success, thanks to . . .

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a part in this year’s “Bonkers” Rappahannock Night at Camp Fantastic. Once again, it was a huge success! (See story, page 1.)

The committee – Sandra Jenkins, Marie Davis,, Jan Makela and Jim Blubaugh – were invaluable in planning this event. Charlotte Turnmeyer offered never ending face painting. Rappahannock County Sherriff’s Office was there with a snow cone machine and kept the snow cones coming all evening. Howard Massey and Jeff Brown twirled cotton candy for hours. Music was provided by Chuck Ritenour and crew. Carol Dionne mingled with the crowd, snapping photographs throughout the event.

The many restaurants, individuals, and civic clubs who made donations include: Melting Pot, Inn at Little Washington, Flint Hill Public House, Country Cafe, Griffin Tavern, Muskrat Haven Farm, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Washington Baptist Church Sojourners for Christ, Kathy Gangel, Ellen Mustoe, Rappahannock Lions Club and Liz Blubaugh, Persimmon Springs Florist (Donna Brune), Sandra Jenkins, Dorothy Hackley, Amissville United Methodist Women, Jan Makela, Rappahannock Mini Storage (Jay Miller), Yellow Brick Road Home Maintenance (Ron Makela), John and Doris Fowler, Deborah Landis, Elaine Hix and Frank Raiter.

We sincerely appreciate all the donations that make this annual event possible. We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in Camp Fantastic each year.
