Letter: Community support was music to our ears

What an awesome community this is! We succeeded in raising the funds we need to produce Mandalele’s debut CD, “Riddled in Rhyme.” Many thanks to all who supported our fundraising campaign through the Kickstarter website, by mail and in person. More than 150 people contributed. This is truly a community-supported project! We’d also like to thank all the local businesses who helped us get the word out by hanging posters and flyers, including Thornton River Grille/Corner Store, Cafe Indigo, Middle Street Gallery, Shaw’s Services, High on the Hog, Triple Oak Bakery, Central Coffee Roasters, CFC, Knit Wit, Coterie, Quicke Mart, Belle Meade and the Rappahannock News.

Mixing and mastering is now taking place and we are designing the cover. We expect it to be out by the end of November. Pre-order sales will be filled first, and then it will be available in stores and online. Aloha!
