Letter: Thanks for the best Christmas around

The Rappahannock Hospitality & Visitors Association (RHVA) wishes to thank the town of Washington, the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office, the Lion’s Club, the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, the many volunteers that worked hours on end, parade participants bringing beautiful animals, colorful costumes and floats, our historic grand marshal and exciting guests, the vendors and artisans, the Rappahannock News, the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC), the Theatre at Washington, Virginia Living TV in Culpeper and the wonderful communities from near and far for their enthusiastic support of Christmas in Little Washington.

What started as a small parade in 2005, to say “thank you” to Rappahannock County by the RHVA local businesses, has blossomed into one of the most enjoyable all-day events of the holiday season.

RHVA openly welcomes members of the community to join our Christmas committee for 2013. Just drop a note to P.O. Box 342, Washington, VA 22747, and we will contact you next year.

Wishing the best Washington in the U.S. a wonderful holiday and very happy new year.
