Letter: Fox penning: Not a sport

Regarding your “Fox penning bill dies in House subcommittee” report last week: How can penning a fox in an enclosure and turning dogs loose to train them to chase foxes, be called a “sport?” From what I’ve read the fox usually gets killed, but that’s just an “accepted consequence” of the “sport.” And this is family fun? I support fox hunting, but there must be a humane way to train hounds.
