They call me Drew here at RAWL. I’m a husky/German shepherd cross and I’m all black, very striking. Did you know that the word “husky” comes from what the 1850s English traders in the Arctic called the native people (the Eskimos) – “Huskimos,” which became “Huskies.” We’re known for being rascals so we need rules and good manners. I’ve worked very hard learning these and succeeded. A fenced yard is a must and I’d prefer an experienced husky owner who appreciates my sense of humor. Come visit and we can amuse one another.
Over the last three weeks, 15 of my canine colleagues were joined with new owners. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), 160 Weaver Road, Amissville, is open 8 to 1 daily. Call 540-937-3283 or visit www.rawldogs.org.
