Accidents lead to DUI arrests

During the early morning hours Saturday (April 27), Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Deputy M. Dodson responded to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. 522 at Jericho Road. Earlysville resident Dawn Graves Wells, 47, was charged with driving under the influence. She is scheduled to appear in Rappahannock County General District Court June 4.

On April 13, Deputy C. Koglin investigated an accident on Crest Hill Road, arresting 52-year-old Gregory Brent Hunsaker, of Warrenton, for two misdemeanors – driving under the influence and consuming alcohol while driving a motor vehicle.

The next day, April 14, Koglin stopped a vehicle on U.S. 211 and arrested Washington, D.C. resident Travis Nathaniel Bowerman, 43. Koglin charged Bowerman with driving under the influence of alcohol.

On April 22, after a traffic stop on Zachary Taylor Highway, Koglin arrested Douglas Lee Jenkins, 62, of Radiant, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol.
