Letter: ‘Taste’ makers pass the tireless test

I feel compelled to write about the amazing job that was done by the many volunteers of Headwaters and the Rappahannock County school system teachers and students at this year’s “Taste of Rappahannock” at the barn at Mount Vernon.

For years I have enjoyed being a happy participant in the fundraiser, but this year I got an insider’s look at what it takes to make the evening so special for the guests. Headwaters executive director Jane Bowling-Wilson deserves endless accolades for the tireless job she did gathering such a committed group of helpers to make the event happen smoothly, and she did so with such seeming calm and confidence. All the students I interacted with were professional and polite — wonderful ambassadors for the schools. Great evening, Headwaters.
