Many thanks to Rappahannock’s very special community for coming out Friday evening for the second showing of the film “Copperhead” by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC). With projection equipment running smoothly, attendees enjoyed the latest film in director Ron Maxwell’s Civil War series. Following “Of Gods and Men” and ”Gettysburg,” “Copperhead” is beautifully photographed and meticulously scored. It shows the other dimension of the war with families and communities torn apart because of an inability to reconcile differences.
Mr. Maxwell was at the showing, mingling with attendees before the film, and conducted a lively question-and-answer session following the showing. We owe all of you who attended a big thanks and especially to Ron Maxwell for making a special effort to be in attendance.
