Letter: Solving the scenic problem

While I understand it could mean an additional expense to the owner of a derelict building [“County eyes derelict buildings, vehicles,” Nov. 7], wouldn’t it be better to bulldoze and remove these unsightly messes? Boarding up a building doesn’t solve the “scenic” problem. Perhaps the county or a generous citizen or two could offer to help with the expense. Also, people who have several old vehicles on their property — I know someone who has 20 to 25 of them — can call any number of car recycling companies (including Green Vehicle Disposal at 977-363-6354) and often receive cash for their cars, plus free towing. Please, let’s keep this beautiful county as it is meant to be!
