The Rappahannock County High School environmental science class recently visited the Sperryville wastewater treatment plant, as well as Washington’s Rush River and the Warrenton treatment plants, in a comparison study of how wastewater is treated. Tours were provided by Pamela Parker and Troy Jenkins, Jr. “It is crucial for students to understand that ‘we all live downstream’ and that we all play a part in maintaining the quality of the Rappahannock watershed,” said teacher Dave Naser.
