“Makin’ It In Virginia,” a collection of handmade crafts highlighting artisans making a living by crafting, opened Feb. 15 at River District Arts in Sperryville. It was also an opportunity for the future proprietors of River District tapas restaurant El Quijote to provide samples of its cocina, and owner/executive chef Emilio Fontan and manager Rosita Mendoza (left) were happy to oblige, offering paella samples here to artisan-musician Bill Watson. El Quijote is scheduled to open sometime in March.
