Owner Emilio Fontan, head chef Andres Delgado and manager Rosita Mendoza (that’s Fontan and Mendoza in the second photo from the left above) welcomed and served up a table full of tapas to guests attending a pre-opening reception at El Quijote last Thursday (April 24) in Sperryville’s Rappahannock Central complex. The traditional Spanish-cuisine restaurant, adjacent to River District Arts, is now open 11 to 9 Thursday and Sunday, 11 to 10 Friday-Saturday. Reservations are not required (but some of Fontan’s award-winning dishes require advance notice). Call 540-987-8187.
