Assault arrest; vandalism reported

Amanda Michelle Deal, 31, of Sperryville, was arrested Sunday (May 4) by Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Sgt. D.J. Stevens and charged with assault and battery on a family or household member.

The sheriff’s office also responded to a report of vandalism in the 900 block of Gid Brown Hollow Road on Friday (May 2), where someone apparently stuck a knife in a tire and several engine components of a Kubota tractor. Sheriff Connie C. Smith said Tuesday there were no leads yet on suspects.
