As many readers are aware, I am leaving gorgeous Rappahannock County and the beautiful town of Little Washington, which I have felt privileged to call home for the last three years. Although I eagerly anticipate rejoining my family on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, it is with a heavy heart that I am departing without the opportunity to personally say “goodbye” to so many friends I leave behind.
Three years ago, I moved to Rappahannock County with a dream to open a café named after my beloved canine companion, Tula. I envisioned a refuge where friends would meet over lunch, and relationships would be fostered by small-town warmth and a glass of Virginia wine. With the patronage and overwhelming generosity of local residents and visitors, I have been so very fortunate to witness my dreams come to fruition. I can hardly express my immense gratitude for the local residents’ support. Moreover, I deeply cherish the friendships that were born within Tula’s walls.
To my readers: Thank you, from the deepest depths of my heart for your support, your patronage, your warmth and your kindness these last three years. I encourage each of you, as the torch has been passed, to continue to support Tula’s. I look forward to my future visits to Little Washington, and to reconnecting with the community that made Rappahannock County truly feel like home.
