The July meetings of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission and the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority are cancelled.

The Rappahannock County School Board holds a work session to review the Virginia Association of School Superintendents’ (VASS) report at 6 p.m. Tuesday (July 29) in the conference room at the school board office.

Service to Abused Families (SAFE) offers free classes throughout September on helping those recovering from abusive relationships. Classes are offered from 6 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, as well as 9 to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 and 27 (Saturdays). The Order of Daughters of the King, a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to prayer, service and evangelism, meets on the first and third Saturday of every month at 9 a.m. in the Gathering Room at St. Stephen’s (third floor above the Food Closet) in Culpeper. The Salem Educational Foundation has a variety of scholarships available to students from Culpeper and Rappahannock counties. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance offices, or by calling 540-547-2589.
