Cesar Enrique Garcia, who police say is the brother of a man arrested and held for extradition to California on July 14, was arrested last Friday (July 25) on a fugitive warrant.

Garcia was arrested by Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office investigator Shawn Walters and other deputies who arrived with a search warrant at a home on Antique Lane in Sperryville where Garcia had apparently been living with his brother, 33-year-old Victor Manuel Garcia.

Victor Garcia was taken into custody earlier in the month on a felony warrant and faces charges of rape, sexual assault, corporal injury of a spouse and making terrorist threats in San Diego County, Calif.

The more recently arrested brother is wanted on a probation violation related to a weapons charge, RCSO Sheriff Connie Smith said. Both men are being held at RSW Regional Jail.
