Virginia State Police this week charged Kenneth Lee Bruske, 29, of Boston, with failure to maintain proper control and driving without a license after his pickup truck collided with another Aug. 11 near Scrabble on U.S. 522. The driver of the other vehicle, who rescuers said lost a dog in the crash, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police said Bruske fled the scene and was found at his residence the next morning. Bruske’s arraignment is Sept. 9.
On Sunday (Aug. 18), Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Koglin arrested Landon Wade Bowers, 25, of Culpeper, after a traffic stop on U.S. 211. Bowers was charged with possession of marijuana and driving with a license revoked for an alcohol-related offense. Arraigned Tuesday (Aug. 19), Bowers is due in district court Oct. 7.
