Late last week, parts of Rappahannock were transformed into Andrasil, the fictional setting of director Ron Newcomb’s upcoming fantasy film, “The Rangers.” Newcomb and crew (that’s him in the hat walking through and setting up a key shot) spent most of Wednesday (Aug. 19) shooting at fellow director Nina May’s Woodville house, which became the throne room for Bill Walton’s King of the Rangers. While Walton and his advisor Count Thrace (played by Anton Kukal) ran lines outside, May took a break to pose on the throne.
