Three people were transported by Washington Volunteer Fire & Rescue to Fauquier Hospital, none with apparently serious or life-threatening injuries, after this three-car crash just before 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 29) at U.S. 211 and Route 626 (Tiger Valley Road/Mount Salem Avenue). No names were available, but apparently the driver of the pickup truck swerved and skidded to avoid hitting a car turning left onto the four-lane highway from Tiger Valley and struck the Mercedes at the stop sign on Mount Salem. Virginia State Police are investigating.
