Miraculously, no one was seriously injured in this head-on crash.

This was a pickup truck until about 9:50 Saturday morning (Sept. 27) near Chester Gap, when Virginia State Police said a 2001 Toyota Camry heading north on U.S. 522 near Hume Road apparently ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and struck a southbound 2003 Dodge Ram head-on. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured in the crash.

The Camry driver, 22-year-old Yekaterina A. Davydova of Fairfax, was charged with reckless driving by State Trooper D.R. Corbin, who is still investigating the accident. Davydova and her passenger, Bryan A. Landan, 23, were transported to a nearby hospital by Chester Gap Volunteer Fire & Rescue with minor injuries.

The pickup truck’s driver, Daniel M. Hale, 65, of Front Royal, was also treated for minor injuries.
