Little Washington’s big Christmas

Sunday’s parade, the centerpiece of the annual Christmas in Little Washington celebration, went off with much cheer and sunshine and without a hitch. Participants included the Army’s Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, RCHS’ Marching Panthers, Santa and Mrs. Claus in their bright green 1938 pickup, this year’s Rappahannock News Citizen of the Year Rev. Jennings W. Hobson III, last year’s Citizens of the Year Lillian Aylor and Doug Baumgardner (who had the parade pulled out from under them by bad weather); the winning float by RAAC/Mountainside Dance Center float, featuring singing Munchkins from RAAC’s “Wizard of Oz” show; an uncharacteristically al fresco Lunch Bunch and many more.
