Your Next Best Friend: Bella

rawlBella-18

My friends here at RAWL call me Beautiful Bella. I’m a Catahoula leopard hound, with black (it’s called “blue”) ticking and striking ice-blue eyes. My breed originated in Louisiana as a hunting dog. I’m 7 years old and was brought to RAWL because I had a hard time adjusting to a new baby in the house. I’m well trained, well adjusted, housebroken and prefer to be the only dog in my house. I prefer a low-energy environment with no kids and am very loyal. I’d like a companion again, and if you’d like a companion, I’m here.

This past week, two of my canine colleagues were joined with new owners. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), 160 Weaver Road, Amissville, is open 8 to 1 daily. Call 540-937-3283 or visit rawldogs.org.
