Letter: Jingle Bell thank you

A big, festive, heartfelt thank you to everyone in the community who helped make the fourth annual Jingle Bell 5K Run and Walk a huge success!

Thank you to the owners of the Washington School for providing the perfect home for our race, to the Child Care and Learning Center (CCLC) for seating and decorations and to Noel Laing for his tables.

Thank you to Tri-Performance Racing, Ed’s Awards & Engraving and Blue Ridge Graphics for their chip-timing, awards and T-shirts.

Thank you to Jenny Kapsa and the following local businesses, who donated door prizes: Beech Spring Gift Shop, Central Coffee Roasters, Country Cafe, Horse N Hound, Griffin Tavern, Knakal’s Bakery, Powell Wellness Center, Red Truck Bakery, Rudy’s Pizza, Three Simple Words, Williams Tree Service and Wine Loves Chocolate. You’re all so wonderful and generous!

And a final thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make the morning run so smoothly: Linda Baldwin; Hannah Bennett; Mark Burnett; Nick Churcher; Brooke Downs; Emma Dee Endre; Julia Estes; Jenny, Ella and Jack Kapsa; Danika and Elena Kritter; Zoie Reece; Madison Slater; Lynn Stillwell; and Julia and HB Wood. We could not have done it without you!
