Letter: Thanks to all for your winter Waikiki-themed benevolence

I wish to extend thanks to the many people who made this year’s Rappahannock Benevolent Fund dinner a great success, closing in on raising $40,000: First to the owners of the Washington School building, John Sullivan and Bill Walton, for making it available; to Dee Vest, Bev Atkins, Bette Mahoney and the other wonderful ladies on the organizing committee who transformed the interior of the school into a winter Waikiki; to the ever-willing Knights of Columbus for their muscle power and other humble services; and to all those who came to the event in support of RBF and the good works being done by Trinity Washington Baptist Church and Reynolds Baptist Church (together with social services), who for five years have been the operating partners in this helping-hand community effort.
