Letter: Late and grateful at Griffin

On Monday, June 30, at about 8:30 p.m., two dozen Scoville family members who had just come down from hiking Stonyman invaded Griffin Tavern. It was the first day of our family reunion week. We were a motley group ranging in age from 3 to 75, and all famished and somewhat grouchy. Other restaurants were closed, and the server (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name), cook and other employees were no doubt more than ready to leave for the night.

While we were waiting for our  orders, warm rolls and butter appeared, gratefully received and quickly devoured. When our orders arrived, all pronounced them delicious. We finally left at about 10, well satisfied and in good spirits. Thanks and kudos to Griffin Tavern!
