Letter: Dual congrats for last Tuesday’s good work

Well, the popularity contest (election) is over and it seems the most popular candidates prevailed! Just goes to show that doing your job correctly and effectively makes you very popular with the voters; Congratulations! Those that ran unopposed were cheated out of the spirited races that the other candidates were privy to. Maybe next term …

Also, congratulations go out to the Rappahannock County High School drama club — which took first place in the conference championships held last Tuesday in the high school auditorium. I realize the drama club is not as exciting for some as the volleyball or cross country teams, but if you were one of the fortunate few who witnessed the performances of the competing schools you were treated to exceptional, theater-worthy enactments.

Russell Paulette, the drama coach, had the actors superbly prepared and they responded by delivering a flawless performance! He is a true asset for the kids to rely on.
