I would like to thank the Jackson district residents for coming out and voting this past week. It is an honor to continue to represent you on the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors. I do not take this responsibility lightly, and appreciate your confidence in me to serve you for the next four years.
With multiple county positions being contested, it was encouraging to see how interested people were in our local government. Voters might think their voice can only be heard every four years, but the reality is the board of supervisors like hearing from our constituents. At the monthly business meeting (first Monday of every month), we set aside time to hear from you, the residents of our fine county, during “Public Comment.” There are some important things coming up in our county, one of which is the completion of the revised comprehensive plan. The next open forum for the comprehensive plan will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 18) at the courthouse. Come out and join in the process. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you there.
