Complaints about campaign signs being stolen or vandalized have been reaching both the newspaper and the sheriff’s office lately, though no one has yet been reported caught or charged in Rappahannock County — despite the bipartisan damage shown here of a Democratic sign in Chester Gap and a Republican sign in Tiger Valley. For those planning to vote Nov. 8 with an informed opinion and a ballot — rather than with a can of spray paint in the dark — we’ll have coverage next week of the increasingly heated 5th Congressional District candidates’ debates, including the one Wednesday night at Woodberry Forest School in Orange County and the next one, Monday night in Charlottesville.
