Farm Tour set for Sept. 25-26

This year’s Rappahannock Farm Tour on Sept. 25 and 26 hopes to capitalize on the good showing during the 2009 farm tour when 500 visitors — not including children — attended.

One dead, one injured in Old Hollow

A shooting in Sperryville Tuesday night has apparently left one man dead and another hospitalized.

Though the victims’ names could not be confirmed with the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday, the injured man was identified by a family member as Buddy Pullen of the 100 block of Old Hollow Road. A family member said the dead man was his stepson, Herbert Wayne Jenkins, 44, who lived in the same house with Pullen and his wife, Anna. […]


Water issues override Hazel River designation

State Scenic River recommendations might be entering a period of drought in Rappahannock County.
