All Rappahannock County government offices, as well as the Rappahannock News, will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day and will reopen on Monday, July 7.
The Rappahannock National Bank will be closed on Friday, July 4 and will reopen on Saturday, July 5.
BB&T in Flint Hill will be closed on Friday, July 4 and will reopen on Monday, July 7.
On Thursday, July 3 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.
On Monday, July 7 the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 p. m. at the Rapprochement County courthouse on Gay Street. There is no evening session.

On Tuesday, July 8 the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m. closed session, and at 7:30 p.m. public session at RCHS band room.
The Town of Washington will hold its monthly meeting on July 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. The agenda includes: a wastewater update, consideration of a request for a second speed limit study, Historic District Guidelines, water taps request, Allegheny Franchise Agreement and Ordinance, and a VDOT Surety Resolution.
