Soccer News

 Online registration has opened for the Rappahannock County Soccer Association's 2008 Fall season. Go online to www.rappsoccer.com and sign your soccer player up for a season filled with fun, soccer education and some friendly competitive games.

The RCSA has been around for over 15 years and has always provided a safe environment for your player to enjoy “the Beautiful Game” of soccer. If you child was born between 08/01/1994 and 07/31/2003, they are eligible to play this coming Fall AND next Spring(2009). We have been a constant feeder program for the Rappahannock County High School and for area travel programs and will continue to be a strong supporter of healthy and nurturing programs for the children of Rappahannock.

Registration runs through August 1. After that, late fees will apply and team designations and uniform sizes cannot be guaranteed. All fees must be paid by August 1 for online registrations as well or the late fee will apply. The registration fee of $40 has remained the same. Paper registrations will be available via email, RCES and the Library. If you are interested in coaching a team please email to the below address.

Please email thirdracer@earthlink.net if you need a form to mail in your registration. Remember forms must be in no later than August 1, 2008 to guarantee placement on a team.


U10 girls travel soccer

The VISTA Fire, a rising U10 Girls travel soccer team, is looking for 1-2 additional players for the Fall 2008 season. The Fire practice in Warrenton. Dedicated, talented players looking to be part of a great team atmosphere should contact Dave Wills at 703-624-2227 or www.firesoccer.net


July “Super” Soccer Camp

Those ages 11-16 can join up for a fun week of soccer training, July 21-July 25, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., each day at Wakefield School, Huntly, Va. Coaches David Gillis and Richard Hogan will provide instruction in skills, strategy, and field management.

Cost of the camp is $80 and preregistration is requested. Meet at 8:30 a.m. on the first day for onsite registration. Day campers are invited. Please bring cleats, shinguards, ball, snack, and drink.
