Peregory family holds engagement party
Joseph Peregory hosted an engagement party for his daughter, Jennifer, and her boyfriend, Robert Johnson Jr., at Peppers restaurant in Culpeper, formerly Alberdeen Barn. Her mother, Janet Peregory, was unable to attend due to health reasons, but congratulated them by phone.Last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier on Turkey Ridge Road, a cook out was held honoring Mr. Frazier on his birthday and son Christopher who celebrated his on Wednesday. Birthday cakes, decorated in farm scenes were baked by Stan Williams, former owner of a bakery.
Mrs. Margaret Komar of Turkey Ridge Road is beaming with joy over the arrival of her first great-grandson, Hudson Komar, born in Potomac Hospital on June 19.

Taylor recognition
Mrs. Maude Taylor was honored with a luncheon on Tuesday at “Ruby Tuesdays” in Culpeper in recognition for serving as the V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary the past year.
To our postmaster and School Board member, Ken Marlor, our great sympathy is extended upon the passing of his mother, Mary Edna Marlor, last week.
Condolences go out to the family of Roberta Noakes, a native here in Boston, who passed away last week and was buried in Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Several area couples have celebrated their wedding anniversaries this month. Wishes goes out to Robin and Buddy Grigsby, Kyle and Cathy Printz, Danny and Linda Hitt, Jake and Barbara Tharp, Donnie and Linda Cubbage and Edward and Kelly Snider.
