County and Town Meetings and Notices

On Thursday, May 8, the Washington Architectural Review Board (ARB) will meet at 7:30 p. m. in the Town Hall on Gay Street.

APPLICATION(S):

1) Melissa Howard; flagstone path and patio, build small retaining wall at 225 Wheeler St.

2) Sunny View LLC, by Peter Kreyling – Agent; install wooden screen door painted to match trim

at old "Kramer Cottage" behind mercantile building.

On Tuesday, May 13, the Rappahannock County School Board will meet at 7 p.m. closed session and at 7:30 p.m. public session at RCHS band room.

The Town of Washington will hold a joint Public Hearing with the Town Council and Planning Commission on May 14 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall proposing to amend and readopt the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Washington.

Immediately following the Public Hearing with the Planning Commission the Town Council will hold its regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting. Highlights from the agenda include a Public Hearing on the FY2008-2009 Town of Washington, Washington Waterworks, and Wastewater Budgets, an update on the Speed Limit Study, a wastewater update, and consideration of a proposal for a remote monitoring and alarm systems for the Washington Waterworks.
